Testimonials

“At 29 weeks of my pregnancy, I found out I had to go on complete bed rest and had gestational diabetes. I was devastated and didn't know where to begin! Leslie came to my home and reviewed the diabetic diet and meal plan with me. She helped me plan out meals and snacks to fit into my plan exactly. She explained everything so that I could easily understand and follow it. Her help, and the convenience of coming to my home, has eased my mind and helped me through a really difficult period.”

“I first met Leslie when she was the dietitian caring for my premature twins in the St. David's Medical Center Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. As a first time mother I was very nervous about caring for my tiny babies. Leslie was always very thorough in her care, professional, and most importantly to me she was so patient with all my questions no matter how simple they were. She treated me like a friend and seemed to care for the nutrition of all the babies like they were her own. In fact, I still consult with Leslie on the nutritional wellbeing of my children even 3 years later.”

“I attended Leslie's presentation at my child's preschool about healthy eating and how to handle picky eaters. Her presentation was filled with useful and current information, helpful suggestions and entertaining anecdotes. I walked away with a much better understanding of what I need to do, to provide my son with the best nutrition possible throughout his childhood.”

“Leslie Ivey has been a source of tremendous knowledge to me as I battle my diet to deal with diabetes. I have been struggling with what I should eat/drink to keep my blood sugar down. My daughter-in-law thought it would be a good idea for me to see a dietitian it turned out to be just the right thing. I met Leslie at one of my grocery stores and she walked through the aisles with me and helped me to understand reading labels. We looked at snacks, crackers, yogurt, and drinks. We also discussed what foods I could eat together, like eating fruit with cheese (protein). I feel I am better equipped to make good decisions about what I eat. Another plus was the follow up calls to check on my progress. She researches topics that will be helpful to me and emails them to me. I know I can contact her whenever I need support.”
